Christmas in Paris has been nothing short of magical. Meredith and I have had a blast! We have taken so much in. One of the most exciting things have been visiting Museums. Paris has AMAZING museums, so full of life and history. Mind you, I could not read a lick of French on the descriptions but who needs to. Either Meredith can tell me about it or I make up what the placard says.
The Louvre was very impressive, not only with the variety of more than likely originally stolen antiquities but the museum itself. Originally a fortress (you can still see the fortress foundation as you enter) later converted to a palace for French Kings(more than apparent in the lavish setting verging on gaudy).
Musée d’Orsay. This place was my favorite! A former train station that houses some of the worlds best pieces. Despite not finding Meredith’s favorite piece we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. For sure worth a second trip.
