Kyoto/Nara

Kyoto and Nara were some of our favorite stops on our honeymoon. Kyoto had so many shrines, such peaceful serene places of meditation and relaxation. Nishiki Market… sure it’s beautiful and filled with interesting things and your wife may paint it in the most interesting light, but that is also where she will make you eat octopus on a stick….

Okinawa

Do you remember the scene in Jurassic Park (the first one) where the helicopter is approaching the island for the first time? Remember how lush and green the island looked? That is pretty much how Okinawa looks. Gorgeous, lush and rainy, every corner of the island is a small adventure which we indulged in. This is the only place I have ever driven a car with the steering wheel on the right side while driving on the left side of the road. The beaches are littered with corral and highly venomous creatures that can kill you (sea snakes, jelly fish, blue ring octopus, pit vipers, rock fish, etc)

Tokyo

Where to start? Tokyo was amazing! The streets were busy the food was not only affordable but also delicious. Everywhere we turned was a new experience. If you ever go there are a few things you need to be sure not to miss. The Robot restaurant, for one, was far more Japan than we could of ever imagined. Have you ever seen mechanical dinosaurs, ridden by amazonian women, shoot lasers lasers out of their eyes battling alien invaders? We have!
