Kyoto and Nara were some of our favorite stops on our honeymoon. Kyoto had so many shrines, such peaceful serene places of meditation and relaxation. Nishiki Market… sure it’s beautiful and filled with interesting things and your wife may paint it in the most interesting light, but that is also where she will make you eat octopus on a stick….
Ever wanted to command a heard of baby deer? Well Nara is not the place… Don’t be fooled by the deer. Sure, they are cute but utter jerks. The moment you are out of cookies for them they will leave you, no goodbyes, no thank yous….
Here is a tip if you ever get the chance to check out Nara: Hold the cookie above your head before feeding the deer, they will bow 3 times in trade for that cookie.
